At the moment, the overwhelming majority (about two thirds) of potential borrowers make loans online through a computer at home or at work.
About 30% of customers apply for this service
Using a smartphone and less than 10% use a tablet computer. In the online financial company, a study was conducted, according to the results of which, experts say that in 4 years the situation will change dramatically. And more than 50% of people who will need a loan online will apply using mobile devices.
Potential borrowers using smartphones to obtain such services in our country, for one and a half years, has doubled. The number of completed applications through the tablet has almost not changed. But applying for a loan online through desktops (large screens) has recently reduced speed.
First of all, such changes are affected by the general growth trend of the mobile Internet as a whole.
It is easier and faster for people to access the Internet from mobile devices.
Recently, conditions have improved for operators providing Internet access – mobile traffic is getting cheaper, free Wi-Fi zones appear. Of course, this is reflected in the clients of banks and MFIs, because most of them are under 40 years old.
Online loans themselves are also growing in quantity
By the end of the first quarter of this year, the portfolio of this service has more than doubled. This growth trend will continue.
In addition to the above, there are notes that Internet users in our country are now at a “transition stage” when the choice of banking and microfinance services occurs on mobile devices, and the purchase of products is done on computers.
